Theater Games: Applying the Methodology to Explore Brazilian Indigenous Mythology

This thesis proposes a dialogue between the systematization of theater games developed by the director Viola Spolin (1906–1994) and the study of Brazilian Indigenous cultures through their mythology.

It aims to create experiences in which non-Indigenous participants develop theatrical language while simultaneously engaging with these myths, contributing to the sociopolitical formation of individuals who value and recognize cultural diversity and their ancestral heritage.

To this end, the work presents examples of adapted theater games, accompanied by descriptions, analysis, and reflections on this adaptive practice.
